BRUSSELS, Jun. 5, 1957 (AMP) — Sweden 58 (European Qualifiers) : Belgium defeated Iceland by a big score of 8-3 (halftime: 7-1), in a qualifying game for the 1958 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday.

The result put the Belgians second in Group 2 with 2 points. Iceland is bottom with no points. In their next game, Belgium will meet third-placed Iceland on September 4, while Iceland will face France.
