MOSCOW, Jun. 23, 1957 (AMP) — Sweden 58 (European Qualifiers) : USSR defeated Poland by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 1958 FIFA World Cup on Sunday.

The result put the Soviet top of Group 6 with 2 points. In their next game, USSR will meet Finland on July 27, while Poland will face Finland.
