PARAMARIBO, Nov. 24, 1968 (AMP) — Mexico 70 (American Qualifiers) : Suriname defeated the Netherlands Antilles by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 1970 FIFA World Cup on Sunday.
The result put the Surinamese top of Group 3 with 2 points. In their next game, Suriname will meet group leaders El Salvador on December 1, while the Netherlands Antilles will face Suriname.
