BARCELONA, Jun. 28, 1982 (AMP) — Spain 82 : Poland defeated Belgium by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a World Cup second round game on Monday night at the Camp Nou in Barcelona.
Zbigniew Boniek scored tripple goals
Poland dominated the first half thanks to goals from Boniek ('4, '26). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Poles further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Boniek in the 53rd minute.
The result put the Pole top of Group A with 2 points. In their last game, Poland will meet USSR at the Camp Nou on July 4, while Belgium will face USSR.
