BUENOS AIRES, Jun. 16, 1985 (AMP) — Mexico 86 (South American Qualifiers) : Argentina defeated Colombia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 1986 FIFA World Cup on Sunday.

The result put the Argentine top of Group 1 with 8 points. Colombia is third with 3 points. In their next game, Argentina will meet second-placed Peru on June 23, while Colombia will face Venezuela.
