WINDHOEK, Jun. 1, 1996 (AMP) — France 98 (African Qualifiers) : Namibia defeated Mozambique by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a qualifying game on Saturday afternoon. Namibia, who won the first leg (2-0), advance to the next round of the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
The second leg between Namibia and Mozambique will be played on Sunday June 16, 1996 (kick-off: 15:00) in Maputo.
