LUANDA, Nov. 10, 1996 (AMP) — France 98 (African Qualifiers) : Angola defeated Zimbabwe by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 1998 FIFA World Cup on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Angolans top of Group 4 with 3 points. In their next game, Angola will meet Cameroon on January 12, while Zimbabwe will face Togo.
