HARARE, Jan. 12, 1997 (AMP) — France 98 (African Qualifiers) : Zimbabwe defeated Togo by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 1998 FIFA World Cup on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Zimbabweans top of Group 4 with 3 points. Togo is bottom with no points. In their next game, Zimbabwe will meet group leaders Cameroon on April 6, while Togo will face Angola.
