KINGSTON, Nov. 10, 1996 (AMP) — France 98 (American Qualifiers) : Jamaica defeated Saint Vincent and the Grenadines by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 1998 FIFA World Cup on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Jamaicans second in Group 3 with 10 points. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is bottom with no points. In their last game, Jamaica will meet group leaders Mexico on November 17, while Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will face Honduras.
