BARRANQUILLA, Aug. 20, 1997 (AMP) — France 98 (South American Qualifiers) : Colombia defeated Bolivia by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 1998 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday night.
The result put the Colombians second in the group with 24 points. Bolivia is 7th with 17 points. In their next game, Colombia will meet Venezuela on September 10, while Bolivia will face Paraguay.
