ZAGREB, Sep. 6, 1997 (AMP) — France 98 (European Qualifiers) : Croatia defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 1998 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.

The result put the Croatians third in Group 1 with 12 points. Bosnia and Herzegovina is fourth with 6 points. In their next game, Croatia will meet second-placed Denmark on September 10, while Bosnia and Herzegovina will face Slovenia.
