BELGRADE, Jun. 2, 1996 (AMP) — France 98 (European Qualifiers) : Yugoslavia defeated Malta by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 1998 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night.

The result put the Yugoslav top of Group 6 with 6 points. In their next game, Yugoslavia will meet the Faroe islands on October 6, while Malta will face Czech republic.
