BELGRADE, Apr. 30, 1997 (AMP) — France 98 (European Qualifiers) : Yugoslavia tied 1-1 with Spain (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 1998 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Spaniard top of Group 6 with 17 points. Yugoslavia is second with 16 points. In their next game, Spain will meet Czech republic on June 8, while Yugoslavia will face Slovakia.
