TEHRAN, Feb. 18, 2004 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (Asian Qualifiers) : Iran defeated Qatar by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Iranians second in Group 1 with 3 points. In their next game, Iran will meet Laos on March 31, while Qatar will face Jordan.
