VIENTIANE, Sep. 8, 2004 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (Asian Qualifiers) : Qatar defeated Laos by a big score of 6-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the Qatari third in Group 1 with 6 points. Laos is bottom with no points. In their next game, Qatar will meet second-placed Iran on October 13, while Laos will face Jordan.
