TAIPEI, Sep. 8, 2004 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (Asian Qualifiers) : Iraq defeated Taiwan by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the Iraqi top of Group 2 with 8 points. Taiwan is bottom with no points. In their next game, Iraq will meet second-placed Uzbekistan on October 13, while Taiwan will face Palestine.
