TAIPEI, Oct. 14, 2004 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (Asian Qualifiers) : Palestine defeated Taiwan by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup on Thursday afternoon.
The result put the Palestinians third in Group 2 with 7 points. Taiwan is bottom with no points. In their last game, Palestine will meet second-placed Iraq on November 16, while Taiwan will face Uzbekistan.
