BIDHANNAGAR, Sep. 8, 2004 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (Asian Qualifiers) : Japan defeated India by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday afternoon.

The result put the Japanese top of Group 3 with 12 points. India is third with 3 points. In their next game, Japan will meet second-placed Oman on October 13, while India will face Singapore.
