AL AIN, Feb. 18, 2004 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (Asian Qualifiers) : The United Arab Emirates defeated Thailand by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Emirati top of Group 5 with 3 points. In their next game, the United Arab Emirates will meet North Korea on March 31, while Thailand will face Yemen.
