ARAD, Feb. 18, 2004 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (Asian Qualifiers) : Bahrain defeated Syria by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Bahraini top of Group 6 with 3 points. In their next game, Bahrain will meet group leaders Tajikistan on March 31, while Syria will face Kyrgyzstan.
