BISHKEK, Sep. 8, 2004 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (Asian Qualifiers) : Bahrain defeated Kyrgyzstan by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the Bahraini top of Group 6 with 10 points. Kyrgyzstan is bottom with one point. In their next game, Bahrain will meet second-placed Syria on October 13, while Kyrgyzstan will face Tajikistan.
