DUSHANBE, Oct. 13, 2004 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (Asian Qualifiers) : Tajikistan defeated Kyrgyzstan by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the Tajikistani third in Group 6 with 7 points. Kyrgyzstan is bottom with one point. In their last game, Tajikistan will meet group leaders Bahrain on November 17, while Kyrgyzstan will face Syria.
