BEIRUT, Jun. 9, 2004 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (Asian Qualifiers) : Lebanon defeated the Maldives by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Lebanese second in Group 7 with 6 points. The Maldives is bottom with one point. In their next game, Lebanon will meet the Maldives on September 8, while the Maldives will face Lebanon.
