MALé, Oct. 13, 2004 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (Asian Qualifiers) : The Maldives defeated Vietnam by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the Maldivians third in Group 7 with 4 points. Vietnam is bottom with 3 points. In their last game, the Maldives will meet group leaders South Korea on November 17, while Vietnam will face Lebanon.
