COLOMBO, Oct. 9, 2004 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (Asian Qualifiers) : Sri Lanka tied 2-2 with Turkmenistan (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.

The result put the Turkmens second in Group 8 with 7 points. Sri Lanka is bottom with 2 points. In their last game, Turkmenistan will meet third-placed Indonesia on November 17, while Sri Lanka will face Saudi Arabia.
