YAOUNDé, Jun. 21, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (African Qualifiers) : Cameroon defeated Tanzania by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Cameroonians top of Group 1 with 10 points. Tanzania is third with 2 points. In their next game, Cameroon will meet second-placed Cape Verde on September 6, while Tanzania will face Mauritius.
