PRAIA, Jun. 22, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (African Qualifiers) : Cape Verde defeated Mauritius by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Cape Verdeans second in Group 1 with 9 points. Mauritius is bottom with one point. In their next game, Cape Verde will meet group leaders Cameroon on September 6, while Mauritius will face Tanzania.
