COTONOU, Jun. 22, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (African Qualifiers) : Benin defeated Niger by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Beninese top of Group 3 with 9 points. Niger is bottom with no points. In their next game, Benin will meet second-placed Angola on September 7, while Niger will face Uganda.
