VICTORIA, Sep. 6, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (African Qualifiers) : Burundi defeated the Seychelles by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Burundians third in Group 9 with 6 points. The Seychelles is bottom with no points. In their last game, Burundi will meet group leaders Burkina Faso on October 12, while the Seychelles will face Tunisia.
