BAMAKO, Oct. 11, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (African Qualifiers) : Mali defeated Sudan by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night.
The result put the Malians second in Group D with 8 points. Sudan is bottom with one point. In their last game, Mali will meet group leaders Ghana on November 15, while Sudan will face Benin.
