HONIARA, Jun. 1, 2012 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (Oceania Qualifiers) : New Caledonia defeated Vanuatu by a score of 5-2 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Friday afternoon.
The result put the New Caledonians second in Group A with 3 points. In their next game, New Caledonia will meet group leaders Tahiti on June 3, while Vanuatu will face Samoa.
