World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Saudi Arabia defeats East Timor 7-0
JEDDAH, Sep. 3, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Saudi Arabia defeated East Timor by a big score of 7-0 (halftime: 5-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night at the King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah.
Al-Sahlawi scored tripple goals
Saudi Arabia dominated the first half thanks to goals from Al-Shehri ('2), Al-Sahlawi ('23 on penalty, '26), Al-Faraj ('30) and Al-Jassim ('32). Leading 5-0 at the break, the Saudis further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Al-Sahlawi '71 and Al-Muwallad '73).
The result put the Saudi second in Group A with 6 points. East Timor is fourth with one point. In their next game, Saudi Arabia will meet Malaysia at the King Abdullah International Stadium on September 8, while East Timor will face Palestine.
