SHAH ALAM, Sep. 8, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Saudi Arabia defeated Malaysia by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Shah Alam Stadium.
The result put the Saudi top of Group A with 9 points. Malaysia is bottom with one point. In their next game, Saudi Arabia will meet second-placed the United Arab Emirates at the Shah Alam Stadium on October 8, while Malaysia will face East Timor.
