DILI, Oct. 8, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : East Timor tied 1-1 with Palestine (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday afternoon at the East Timor National Stadium in Dili.
No goals in the first half and one each in the second, Saro ('54) for East Timor, Abu Nahyeh ('90) for Palestine.
The result put the Palestinians third in Group A with 5 points. East Timor is fourth with 2 points. In their next game, Palestine will meet group leaders Saudi Arabia at the East Timor National Stadium on November 9, while East Timor will face Malaysia.
