World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Saudi Arabia beats East Timor 10-0
DILI, Nov. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Saudi Arabia defeated East Timor by a big score of 10-0 (halftime: 4-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday afternoon at the East Timor National Stadium in Dili.
Al-Sahlawi served up another goal feast
Saudi Arabia dominated the first half thanks to goals from Al-Sahlawi ('29 on penalty, '42), Hawsawi ('34) and Al-Shehri ('35). Leading 4-0 at the break, the Saudis further widened their lead in the second period by scoring six times (Al-Sahlawi '55/penalty, '70, '89, Al-Jassim '85, Hazazi '90 and Al-Muwallad '90).
The result put the Saudi top of Group A with 16 points. East Timor is bottom with 2 points. In their next game, Saudi Arabia will meet Malaysia at the East Timor National Stadium on March 24, while East Timor will face Palestine.
