ABU DHABI, Mar. 24, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : The United Arab Emirates defeated Palestine by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
The result put the Emirati second in Group A with 16 points. Palestine is third with 9 points. In their last game, the United Arab Emirates will meet group leaders Saudi Arabia at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium on March 29, while Palestine will face East Timor.
