AMMAN, Oct. 8, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Jordan defeated Australia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday afternoon at the Amman International Stadium.
45 minutes of play and neither the Jordanians nor the Australians have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Abdel-Fattah ('47 on penalty) and Al-Dardour ('84).
The result put the Jordanians top of Group B with 10 points. Australia is second with 9 points. In their next game, Jordan will meet Tajikistan at the Amman International Stadium on October 13, while Australia will face Kyrgyzstan.
