World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan tied at 2-2
BISHKEK, Oct. 8, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Kyrgyzstan tied 2-2 with Tajikistan (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night at the Spartak Stadium in Bishkek.
The Kyrgyzs started off well by taking the lead thanks to Duyshobekov in the 7th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Zemlianukhin goal on penalty ('90) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Tajikistan with goals by M. Dzhalilov ('65) and Nazarov ('71 on penalty).
The result put the Kyrgyz third in Group B with 5 points. Tajikistan is fourth with 2 points. In their next game, Kyrgyzstan will meet Bangladesh at the Spartak Stadium on October 13, while Tajikistan will face Jordan.
