World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Tajikistan beats Bangladesh 5-0
DUSHANBE, Nov. 12, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Tajikistan defeated Bangladesh by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday afternoon at the Pamir Stadium in Dushanbe.
Dzhalilov served up another goal feast
Tajikistan dominated the first half thanks to goals from Dzhalilov ('16, '26). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Tajikistanis further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Nazarov '51/penalty and Dzhalilov '59, '74).
The result put the Tajikistani fourth in Group B with 5 points. Bangladesh is bottom with one point. In their next game, Tajikistan will meet second-placed Australia at the Pamir Stadium on March 24, while Bangladesh will face Australia.
