DHAKA, Nov. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Australia defeated Bangladesh by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 4-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday afternoon at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.
Tim Cahill scored tripple goals
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Tim Cahill ('6, '32, '37) and Mile Jedinak ('43).
The result put the Australians top of Group B with 15 points. Bangladesh is bottom with one point. In their next game, Australia will meet Tajikistan at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on March 24, while Bangladesh will face Jordan.
