World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : China beats Bhutan 6-0
THIMPHU, Jun. 16, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : China defeated Bhutan by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu.
Yang Xu scored tripple goals
China dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Yang Xu in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Chineses further widened their lead in the second period by scoring five times (Wu Lei '55, Yang Xu '60, '76 and Yu Dabao '67, '83).
The result put the Chinese second in Group C with 3 points. Bhutan is bottom with no points. In their next game, China will meet group leaders Hong Kong at the Changlimithang Stadium on September 3, while Bhutan will face Qatar.
