World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Hong Kong defeats Bhutan 1-0
THIMPHU, Oct. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Hong Kong defeated Bhutan by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu.
45 minutes of play and neither Hong Kong nor Bhutan have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Chan Siu Ki with one minute left in regular time.
The result put Hong Kong second in Group C with 10 points. Bhutan is bottom with no points. In their next game, Hong Kong will meet the Maldives at the Changlimithang Stadium on November 12, while Bhutan will face China.
