World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : China beats Bhutan 12-0
CHANGSHA, Nov. 12, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : China defeated Bhutan by a big score of 12-0 (halftime: 7-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night at the Helong Stadium in Changsha.
Yang Xu served up another goal feast
China dominated the first half thanks to goals from Mei Fang ('10), Yang Xu ('13, '21 on penalty, '37), Yu Dabao ('16, '39) and Yu Hanchao ('34). Leading 7-0 at the break, the Chineses further widened their lead in the second period by scoring five times (Yang Xu '52, Wang Yongpo '66, '81, Yu Hanchao '72 and Zhang Xizhe '88).
The result put the Chinese third in Group C with 10 points. Bhutan is bottom with no points. In their next game, China will meet second-placed Hong Kong at the Helong Stadium on November 17, while Bhutan will face Qatar.
