World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Qatar beats Bhutan 3-0
THIMPHU, Nov. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Qatar defeated Bhutan by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu.
Al Haidos scored dual goals
Qatar dominated the first half thanks to goals from Muntari ('22) and Al Haidos ('36). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Qataris further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Al Haidos seconds before the end of regulation.
The result put the Qatari top of Group C with 18 points. Bhutan is bottom with no points. In their next game, Qatar will meet second-placed Hong Kong at the Changlimithang Stadium on March 24, while Bhutan will face the Maldives.
