World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Guam defeats India 2-1
DEDEDO, Jun. 16, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Guam defeated India by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday afternoon at the Guam Football Association National Training Center in Dededo.
Guam dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by McDonald in the 37th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Aganas further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Nicklaw in the 62nd minute.
The result put the Agana top of Group D with 6 points. India is bottom with no points. In their next game, Guam will meet third-placed Iran at the Guam Football Association National Training Center on September 3, while India will face Iran.
