DASOGUZ, Jun. 16, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Turkmenistan tied 1-1 with Iran (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Sport Toplumy Stadium in Dasoguz.
One goal for both sides in the first half, Mingazow ('45) for Turkmenistan, Azmoun ('4) for Iran and none in the second.
The result put the Iranians third in Group D with one point. Turkmenistan is fourth with one point. In their next game, Iran will meet group leaders Guam at the Sport Toplumy Stadium on September 3, while Turkmenistan will face Oman.
