World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Oman and Iran play to a 1-1 draw
MUSCAT, Oct. 8, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Oman tied 1-1 with Iran (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat.
No goals in the first half and one each in the second, Al-Mukhaini ('52) for Oman, Hosseini ('70) for Iran.
The result put the Iranians top of Group D with 8 points. Oman is second with 8 points. In their next game, Iran will meet Turkmenistan at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex on November 12, while Oman will face India.
