World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Turkmenistan defeats India 2-1
ASHGABAT, Oct. 8, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Turkmenistan defeated India by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night at the Köpetdag Stadium in Ashgabat.
Abylow opened the score in the 8th minute, before seeing India catch up in the 28th minute thanks to Lalpekhlua. 1-1 at half time. The Turkmens eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Amanow in the 60th minute.
The result put the Turkmens fourth in Group D with 4 points. India is bottom with no points. In their next game, Turkmenistan will meet third-placed Guam at the Köpetdag Stadium on October 13, while India will face Oman.
