MUSCAT, Oct. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Oman defeated India by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat.
Al-Muqbali scored dual goals
45 minutes of play and neither the Omanis nor the Indians have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Mubarak ('55) and Al-Muqbali ('67, '84).
The result put the Omani top of Group D with 11 points. India is bottom with no points. In their next game, Oman will meet third-placed Turkmenistan at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex on November 17, while India will face Guam.
