World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Iran defeats Guam 6-0
DEDEDO, Nov. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Iran defeated Guam by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday afternoon at the Guam Football Association National Training Center in Dededo.
Taremi scored dual goals
Iran dominated the first half thanks to goals from Taremi ('12) and Kamyabinia ('32). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Iranians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Rezaeian '49, Shojaei '52/penalty, Ansarifard '53 and Taremi '63).
The result put the Iranians top of Group D with 14 points. Guam is fourth with 7 points. In their next game, Iran will meet India at the Guam Football Association National Training Center on March 24, while Guam will face Oman.
